As part of our commitment to expanding educational access, the Literacy Program began through strategic collaborations with the Cinta Baca Foundation and the Jangkar Indonesia Cerah Foundation to establish a community library in Taraet Village, Sipora Island, Mentawai Islands Regency.
This village is located in a remote and outermost archipelagic region, with limited access to electricity, internet, and transportation, resulting in restricted access for the community to sources of knowledge and information.
The establishment of this community library is a concrete manifestation of the foundation's commitment to reaching communities that face challenges in accessing quality education and literacy.
Through the provision of quality reading materials and structured literacy activities, we strive to build inclusive and sustainable learning spaces, fostering a culture of reading and a passion for learning so that the community of Taraet Village can have the opportunity to grow toward a more prosperous and self-reliant life.
